I went and saw the new captain America movie. I will admit I was a little apprehensive on seeing it. I am one of the unlucky ones who was the original movie in the 80's. the was such a bad movie.... this movie on the other hand was great :). the managed to stick to the basic story very well. of course the fiddley little bit always change. even in the comics they change. things the movie got right. Steve rogers was a shrimp and couldn't get in the army. yeah I know that's a basic fact of Steve rogers. still they did it well. also they got the fact that he is a soldier in a war. thus he isn't a boy scout. while being a good guy he is still a soldier in a war. was impressed they didn't put the good personality as an overload. what I didn't like was red skull. not the character or the writing. I just didn't feel sold that was truly red skull. that's all.
this movie is better in line with the ultimate version of captain America.
I would rate this as a good movie to see :) if you have little ones there is a bunch o violence. peeps do die... Posted via LiveJournal app for Android. mental state: nerdy

i know its been a long time since i have written here... been such a hectic time. seems no matter what i do drama will find me. this time it was through a friend i knew from high school. i reconnected with her via facebook. well what i didn't pay a attention to was that her husband shared the account and is an ass. my opinion is he controls her and also uses her identity to hide behind. ended up having to block her profile because her husband is a complete ass.
now that the psn has come back online i went ahead and got all my free games. 2 for the ps3 and 2 for my psp. both the ps3 titles i got are really good :) dead nation and infamous. after i get further in these games i will give my opinion on them. the 2 psp games are mod nation racers and little big planted. honestly they seemed like the best choices from the ones given. i will also give my reviews on them as well in time. although they may be delayed some due to the game i preorderd being shipped this week. i went ahead and ordered alice madness returns. i did so love the original Alice game on the pc. all the previews look good so far and the game play looks nice :) hopefully it wont be a let down...
in health news i have taken to going on daily walks. my lungs are still full of crud and get worse when i am exhausted or stressed. so walking is the best thing. anything else causes me to hack and cough. so far its working well. atm i walk at least 2 miles a day after work. i have a route and its nice and peaceful. occasionally i run into someone walking a dog. i promptly get tackled by the dog trying to lick me. seems the like me. last week i was followed by a husky wandering around.
life wise its always interesting for me. mainly due to the fact i went out searching for pen pals. always interesting adventures there. i have managed to keep a couple around. although i do get phisers from time to time. usually can spot them easily enough. you know carding a phiser when they ask for money is a great laugh :) they get all confused and aren't sure what to do. the newest one oddly says shes not looking for romance... just friends. i find this very odd behavior. i am still on my guard... just wondering what she will do next. as for my local drama. i think all that has passed and life can return to normal. i still will not tread where they frequent. if i get near them i will explode with anger. this is one of those angers that takes many years to cool down... if i cool down.
my social experimenting is done. i have wiped my profiles from the sites i was on. the only ones i kept are due to the fact i am still chatting with people. out of it i have a few new friends from around the world. mostly though i learned that most people are the same no matter where you go. they just have new accents in other countries.mental state: exhausted

i have no idea what is up with this generation of game consoles bu its starting to piss me off. don't get me wrong i like all the advances and possibilities we can have now. what i dont like is that some company somewhere calls our game save copyrighted and its to them no less. so you work your butt off for hours getting through the story. you create you own world from the decisions you made and now you cant even backup your save file. why because they claim it as theirs. a save file should not be copy righted. no other console has ever done that. so why the hell have they started now. why rant about this now... well i just lost all my game saves on my 360 due to a technical glitch. i own mass effect 1 and 2 for the 360 and the world i created from those files is gone. hours and hours of game play and decision making all gone. because some d-bag wont let me copy the game save file to more than one location. something i like to do with all my important games. now on the ps3 we do have something that kinda helps. we have a backup function. we can backup everything on it to a an external hard drive. even the copyrighted game save. thing is that backup is locked to that main board. so you cant move it to another ps3... i have had a few panic attacks due to system failures. mostly on my 360 locking up and then not reading my memory card where my saves were. really the designers out there let us backup our work... you didn't play the game and make the decisions, we did. so stop copyrighting our work as yours.mental state: angry

i have been comparing old rpg games to the new rpg games. there is a trend that is really annoying me as of late and really making me not care to finish them at times. in the old days you would get into the story. characters had stories that you would either like or despise. there are the ones with neutral backgrounds at times. there were times when your heroes would dies and you would feel bad. like in chrono trigger when chrono dies. yes you can get him back but you really went what??? he cant die hes the hero. at times just the background story into your current hero made you become more attached. ff6 had some beautiful stories, cyan when doma was poisoned by kefka , locke having a shrine to his fallen love, gau being abandoned in the velt, and so on... it made you more attached to the characters and the game. you wanted your heroes to win and overcome the evil. now days it seems that all the programmers and writers are relying on cinematics and super amazing graphics to tell a story. instead of letting the player actually interact with it and experience it. ff13 is by far a stunning graphical game. the down fall of this game is its more like playing an interactive movie that playing a game. this is where it fails. if i want to watch a movie i will watch a movie. when i want to play a game i want to interact with the game. how is it that there are less free roam games and we have more storage space to play with. before all we had were cartridge's with limited space yet they had a good world for the rpg gamer to wander in. i know there are games out there with huge worlds to explore but not in rpg games. these are action games for the most part. look at your typical rpg game and you will notice most happen to be very linear with little side interest. what i would like to see is a good well written rpg with a very explorable world and characters you can get attached to. yes there are a few out there but not nearly as many as there used to be. in the mean time i am actually enjoying my older games more than some of my new ones.mental state: contemplative

So I'm at me mums for t-day. So far no major wars have broken out and no huge issues. Hopefully it stays nice and quiet while I am here. We shall see. More over I'm kinda bored and miffed I am missing the snow back home. I do like snow and it doesn't happen very often. I have the feeling it will all be gone by the time I get back. The boredom clear from the fact I forgot my hand help game systems at home and my 360 memory card does not work in the new 360 slim. So no working on any of the games I currently own. I didn't bring my ps3 for the simple fact I am not risking it getting damaged. It's a bit hard to replace or fix since it's the older 60gig model. Such is life. In the mean time I guess I'll just kick back and enjoy the boredom and use it as a chance to finally unwind some.

this is more a philosophical debate that accusation or bashing someone kinda deal. in relation ships there seem to be double standards. well in some relationships anyway. the question is this (yes to those who have both facebook and lj its a bunch of the same) why is it okay for a gal to have many guy friends but a guy cant have a few gal friends. while i realize that in some cases insecurity plays a role. mainly i'm wondering what answers i may get from everyone out there. i know there are a few other double standards out there as well. thing is why and where did they start from. feel free to post what ones you know about.

got back from camping yesterday... the trip was okay. would have been much better with better planning. one person in particular seems to never be able to plan for crap. Friday - took the day off so we could leave any time and no one was pressured. myself and the others i ride with (diayma, her mom and brother) were all in fact ready and there on time. the others in this adventure weren't even close to being ready. we eventually gave up and got directions to there and left without them. worked out well we got our tents up and ready before anyone else showed. thus we built the campfire as they were setting up. Saturday - this is the day things started to fall through the cracks. usually i'm the first up since hell i cant sleep normally anymore. usually i make coffee for the net to rise caffeine addicts. the car adapted coffee maker decided it was on vacation and didn't want to work. after all were awake and functional we headed off to the renfair. the fair was good and well somewhat less energetic this year not sure on why though. also discovered that our troop is being remember by the performers in a good way. after the fair head back to camp site and make dinner. here is where some things fell through the cracks. we informed them that we were not up for foil packet dinner and would fend for ourselves. other party was upset and apparently forgot we had decided this. we had steak and fire baked potatoes. Sunday - early in the morning diayma's mom got very sick , not sure why. thus had to be rushed home. i hear the car door shut just as i was relaxed enough to sleep or the best i can attempt at sleep. i rode with them since i get very tired by sunday and don't really want to risk it. i text diayma and find out whats going on and that in the morning she will be back. thing is i couldn't help but worry slightly even knowing they would be back. no sleep for me :( so i pack up some of my stuff as quietly as i can and decide to wait for morning for the rest. they indeed returned and by that point i was ready to put stuff in the car and help them take down. after camp is all cleaned we head one more time to the fair and see what was missed the other day. at this point all people in our car were very tired. got home, showered ate and did laundry. fell asleep during dr who and decided bed was a good idea, been up for 33 hours straight at this point. used alarm clock to get rest of laundry done. fun but rough weekend. now for other family update talked with uncle and father. got things straightened out that yes in fact we need to get dad trained up on something. dad doesn't want training until grandma passes. feels its his duty to take care of her until the end and doesn't want to make definite plans. he will be getting a job at that point. they do fully understand now that i cannot in fact take care of the house or anyone by myself on the pay that i make. uncle is please that my sister and i were talking about these eventualities. he was worried that he was the only one thinking about those things. also explained to dad that i was not the only one involved in the discussion. oh and also i managed to finally get a welcomed blessing for moving out. was going to move anyway without blessing though. is nice to not have a family war over it though. oh and btw grandma is home again :) she came back while i was out camping.

| » 5 min chocolate cake |
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE 4 tablespoons flour 4 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons cocoa 1 egg 3 tablespoons milk 3 tablespoons oil 3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional) A small splash of vanilla extract 1 large coffee mug (MicroSafe)
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again. Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT ! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).
this is brought to you by the gog. one of our members passed this on. i honestly don't know how it tastes personally but others do seem to like. i have had nukable cakes before and they were good so i have no doubt that this in fact could be very good and dangerous.
